Lady Guinevere to return to New York

May 4, 2011

Lady Guinevere Bradley White

Lady Guinevere Bradley White will be returning to New York City to sing in Lincoln Center along with the Southwestern Seminary Master Chorale and Southwestern Singers made up of students and community members. A total of 125 voices from the surrounding areas of Fort Worth will join in.
Guinevere had the honor to sing in Carnegie Hall in 2008 and 2009. The group will be leaving May 5 and returning on May 9. The concert will take place on Sunday May 8. Dr. David R. Thye (pronounced Tee), will be conductor in Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center.
The Chorale will perform three movements — Excursion For Orchestra was composed by William Mac Davis; Requiem in D minor, K. 626 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart; and Peace Ascends (World Premiere), written and composed by Stephen P. Johnson. The inspiration for this work came from the story of Benjamin Larson, a seminary student who was helping the people of Haiti when the earthquake hit in January of 2010. Ben was buried under the rubble from the earthquake and was singing a song of peace as he died. This concert will be in memory of Ben Larson.
This is Guinevere's third trip to New York. She expresses she is very honored and would like to thank the people of Sweetwater for their support. Especially her dad, Rev. Milton Bradley of St. Luke Church in Abilene, Rev. IZIAR and Jennifer Lankford of Plum Street United Methodist in Abilene, and Rev. Willie and Mrs. Doris Jackson of The Greater ZION Baptist Church in Sweetwater.
