Lady Stangs basketball review

Going on the road for the final time before the holi-day break, the Sweetwater girls basketball team got 18 points from Kendra Crosson and led at the end of each quarter as it held off Gra-ham, 37-32, on Saturday.
Crosson got double-figure support from Suede Shirley, who had 11 points to help the Lady Mustangs improve their record to 11-7. The game, originally set for Friday, was moved because Graham’s football team played in the state semifinals, losing to Gilmer 50-7.
Kelsi Crosson had three points, Kathleen Campbell and Janell Walker two and Taylor McPherson one.
Action resumes Tuesday as the Lady Mustangs and Mustangs host a varsity doubleheader at the SHS gym vs. Colorado City.
The girls tip off at 6 p.m. and the boys at 7:30, with JV games at 4:30 p.m. in the old and new gyms.
Sweetwater’s freshman girls also see action as they play at Midland Christian starting at 5 p.m.
