Sweetwater softball

After an 11-1 loss at San Angelo Lake View on Saturday, the Sweetwater High School softball team will try to rebound today when it goes to Colorado City for a 6:30 p.m. contest.
A nine-run, second-inning uprising by Lake View turned Saturday’s game into a blowout as Sweetwater fell to 6-4. The Lady Mustangs managed to avoid a shutout by scoring in the fifth inning, but still lost by the 10-run rule. Kinsey Browning, Jackie Carey and Suede Shirley had hits and Taylor McKoy, Alicia Finn and Maty Montgomery pitched. Sweetwater committed four errors.
