Lamar, Arizona intersection to be four-way stop as signal work begins

December 31, 2013

TxDOT is planning signal work this week at Arizona Avenue near Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital as work progresses on the Lamar Street (SH 70) reconstruction project.
The intersection at Lamar and Arizona will temporarily be posted as a four-way stop beginning Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014 to allow crews to replace the existing traffic signals. Warning signs will be posted to alert traffic of the change. Traffic flow and access in the vicinity of the hospital will be maintained at all times.
The new signals should be installed and functioning within about a week.
