Larry Othel Barnhill

Larry Othel Barnhill passed away Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011 at his residence in Winters, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011 at the Texas Veterans Cemetery in Abilene, Texas under the direction of Winters Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Freeman of Trent First Baptist Church officiating.
Larry was born September 28, 1940 in Sweetwater, Texas to Othel and Nellie Barnhill. Larry grew up in Sweetwater, Eskota and Trent, Texas. He graduated high school in Sweetwater at Newman High School in 1959. He served three years in the army as a mechanic with two of those years stationed in Germany. Larry spent most of his life as a truck driver either self-employed or with Brazon Transportation and Ennis Transportation. He loved fishing and country and western dancing.
Larry was preceded in death by his mother and father. He is survived by two sons, Larry Barnhill of Lubbock and Beau Barnhill of Livingston, Montana. He is survived by one sister and her husband, Linda and George Hughes of Sweetwater. He is survived by one nephew and his wife Randy and Susan Hughes of Sweetwater and two great nephews Clancy and Calen Hughes of Sweetwater. Larry is also survived by two special friends, Ann Baldwin of Winters and Eloise Ripley of Dublin.
