Funeral services for Leo LeDell Hollon, Sr., 88, of Sweetwater will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011, at McCoy Chapel of Memories with Rev. Jimmy Don Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Roby Cemetery.
Services will be directed by McCoy Funeral Home of Sweetwater. Mr. Hollon died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2011, at his home.
Born Dec. 22, 1922, in Coleman, he married Faye Allison in 1951. He was a farmer and had worked in road construction, moving to Sweetwater 22 years ago. He was a veteran and attended Faith Harvest Pentecostal Church. His hobby was fishing.
Survivors include two sons, Steve Hollon of Sweetwater and Jimmy Bay Hollon of Bellmeade; four daughters, Barbara Cash of Bellmeade, Velma Wilhite and Dorothy Vasquez of Sweetwater and Dolores Jackson of Snyder; 29 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye, on Nov. 20, 2000; three sons, Thomas, Buck and Donald; one granddaughter, Rise Wilhite; one grandson, Jason Hollon; one son-in-law, Ronald Wilhite; and his parents, Jake and Fannie May Hollon.
Pallbearers will be Jeremiah Vasquez, Jacob Vasquez, Donnie Wilhite, Ronnie Wilhite, Jr., Bobby Wilhite, and Kenneth Cash.
