We would like to express our sincerest and deepest gratitude for the outpouring of food, monetary support and uplifting thoughts and prayers during our time of great sorrow and loss. It is during those times we realize how truly blessed we are to be incorporated into such a great circle of family and friends. May God bless the lives of each and every one of you.
We would also like to send out a special thank you to McCoy Funeral Home, Dr. Ronnie Dennis, the OB nurses at RPMH, and our very special sister, Amy Mann. No words could ever express all that you’ve done for us. And to Rev. Eric Horton and Rev. Jack Pinkerton for performing such a beautiful graveside service.
We could go on and on and never get to everyone, but you know who you are. Thank you all so very much. We love each and every one of you from the bottom of our heart.
The Kincaid Family
I enjoyed so much the article in April 11 paper from Lew Patton about his memory of his childhood in Sweetwater as a paper boy. As I read his story it was as if I had written this story myself because I have the same memory as a Sweetwater Reporter paper boy except 10 years earlier (about 1949). My route was all of Lamar Street. I remember on Sundays I would get up early and be there to get my papers and it was so cold I would use my bicycle sacks to cover up with to help keep me warm. Mr. Baxter was my boss also, and down in the basement where we got our papers it smelled of Mr. Baxter’s pipe smoke and fresh newspapers. It was a nice comfortable setting. As I remember there were about 10 of us paper boys down in the basement waiting for papers to come down a shoot fresh off the press. I was a kid in Sweetwater when there was a train station. There was an old courthouse in the middle of town and the highway came through the middle of town. When I was 14 years old I worked as a sacker at Piggly Wiggly out on Lamar Street. My parents left Sweetwater when I was 15 years old, and we went to California, but I have great memories of Sweetwater. It was a great place to grow up. If any one knew the Boyetts this is my email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
