Local church hosts diaper drive

February 7, 2014

The CCD students at Holy Spirit Catholic Parish had a diaper drive during the advent season.
They collected 72 packages of diapers, 22 packages of baby wipes, several baby items and the seventh graders collected $246.86 in baby bottles that the Abilene Deanery provided to them. Most of the items were donated to the Pregnancy Resource Center in Abilene and some items are being kept at the church for any mother in need.
Aida Pantoja, chairperson of the Pro Life League of the Holy Spirit Parish is very grateful of the CCD students, parents, teachers, Sister Rita, David Alvarez, Jonathan and Gloria Rangel, Jose and Gloria Guzman and the Knights of Columbus of Sweetwater.
