Sandra Light of Maryneal recently donated items that she made to the Pioneer Museum in Sweetwater. One of the items donated was a velvet quilt. Another item that Light donated was a knitted sweater with intricate beading. Light has made many quilts and knitted many sweaters over the years. "My daughter owned a yarn shop and one year I knitted 54 sweaters," said Light.
Light mostly makes quilts now. She says that she has been quilting most of her life. "My mother quilted and that’s how I began. I've been quilting for about 55 years now."
