Local representatives attend TSTC Day in Austin

Sweetwater was well represented at the capital in Austin on Wednesday. Texas State Technical College was holding its "day" at the capital to promote TSTC and technical training. TSTC is also promoting a "Downhole Tool Technician" program for the oil and gas industry. The Downhole Tool Technician program length is only 15 weeks. On hand from left to right were Mike Reeser, TSTC System Chancellor; J.V. Martin, TSTC Board of Regents; Gail Lawrence, TSTC West Texas President; Pam Rhodes, former Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital Board Chairperson; Rick Rhodes, former mayor of Sweetwater and current Deputy Director of the Texas Department of Agriculture; and Ken Becker, SEED (Sweetwater Enterprise for Economic Development) Executive Director and High Ground of Texas Chairman.
