A Mustang Baseball Camp is set for Monday through Thursday, June 13-16, at the high school baseball field.
The first sesion for stu-dents entering grades 1-5 will be from 9-10:15 a.m. while the second session for students entering grades 6-9 will be from 10:30 a.m. to noon. This year’s camp will emphasize working on fundamentals, hitting, de-fense and pitching and be led by the Mustang baseball coaching staff. Persons will need to register at least 15 minutes before each session begins on Monday, June 13. The cost is $40, which includes a T-shirt. Mustang Tennis
Clinic June 20-23
A Mustang Tennis Clinic for students who have com-pleted grades 3-8 has been scheduled for June 20-23 at the high school tennis courts. Hours of the clinic will be 8-11 a.m. each day. Students will need to bring a tennis racquet, water bottle and sun screen. The cost of the clinic is $35. Mustang Golf Camp
slated for June 20-22
A Mustang Golf Camp has been slated for June 20-22 at Sweetwater Country Club and be held from 9-11:30 a.m. each day. Discounts are available for familes who have two or more children. For more information, call Sarah Cumbie at 338-5407 or Ashley Timm at 338-8055.
Youth football
registration is set
Open registration for any players interested in youth football, for those who are in pre-kindergarten through sixth grade, will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 15 at the Sweetwater Lions Club building on Lamar Street. The cost is $100 for tackle football and $60 for flag football. Also, a payment plan with $50 down is available as are scholarships. Teams will be limited to 24 players per team for tackle football and 14 per team in flag football. Players will be assigned by the date and time of their signup.
Kids Fishing
Tournament is
set for June 25
The second annual Kids Fishing Tournament at Lake Sweetwater will take place Saturday, June 25 from 8-11 a.m. There will be four age groups ranging from 3-16. Each group will have winners for the biggest fish, smallest fish and most outstanding angler and awards will be presented at 11 a.m. Hot dogs, chips and drinks will be provided for competitors at this time. The entry fee will be $5.
Black Gold Tennis
Event is June 24-25
Sweetwater is scheduled to host a Black Gold Tennis Circuit Challenger event that is set for Friday and Saturday, June 24-25. The entry fee will be $25.
Players may enter up to two events, including one singles and one doubles. Entries must be in the hands of tournament director Shella Arnwine at least seven days before the tournament begins.
Events at the Black Gold Tennis Circuit Challenger event will be held in boys and girls singles, boys and girls doubles and mixed doubles. More information on the tournament may be found at www.blackgoldtenniscircuit.com.
Jump Rope Camp
set for Aug. 2-4
A Jump Rope Camp will be held Aug. 2-4 at the Sweetwater Intermediate School gym for students who have complated grades 1-4. Fourth graders will meet from 9 a.m. to noon and first through third graders will meet from 1-3 p.m.
