Sheri and Hunter Crawford just returned from the 13th Annual Texas Tattoo Roud-Up held in Dallas, Texas from Sept. 16-18. Hunter won his second trophy (Top Three Artist's Choice Best Traditional Small) for a boat motor he tattooed on Sheri — a boat motor strategically placed on her chest. Hunter won his first trophy at the San Angelo show in 2010. Sheri brought home four awards more to add to her collection. She won one of the Top Three Artist's Choice in Photo Realism and Patriotic categories and two of the Top Three Artist's Choice in the Unusual category. Megan Casady’s tattoo by Sheri won two of the Top Three Artist's Choice in the Unusual Category. Chase Strother’s tattoo by Sheri won the Patriotic category. This was his first show he has entered into. John Palmer’s tattoo by Sheri won again with a Willie Nelson portrait that was done at the Dallas show last year. Palmer also won at the San Angelo tattoo show with the Willie Nelson portrait. Sheri's Texas Tattoo is located at 2204 W. Broadway in Sweetwater.
Sheri and Hunter would like to thank the people who go and enter their art at the shows. "We never win if no one enters," said Sheri. "It has been a wonderful year. Thanks to Jo Jo Martinez, Chris McKinney, Hunter and John Palmer again for winning with his Willie Nelson portrait."
