A graveside service for Lois Darlene Pate,78, of Blackwell, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at Ford Chadbourne Cemetery in Coke County, Texas with Rev. John Curry officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater.
Pate died Sunday, June 12, 2011, in San Angelo.
She was born May 24,1933, in Sweetwater. She married I.B. Pate on May 28, 1949, in Sweetwater. Darlene had lived in the Blackwell area since 1960 and Odessa before. She and her husband owned and operated the marina at Oak Creek Lake for 51 years. She attended Newman High School in Sweetwater and she was a Christian.
Survivors include her husband, I.B. Pate of Blackwell; daughter, Deborah Mulanax and husband Leonard of Sweetwater; sons, Randall Pate and wife Ann of Blackwell, Danny Pate and wife Ann of Blackwell and Lynn Pate of Fort Worth; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
