CLYDE — Lois Opal Pieper, 91, of Clyde died Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012, at a Baird care center. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012, in the Roscoe Cemetery with Dr. Toby Henson officiating under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Pieper was born April 13, 1921, in Scurry County to Charlie B. and Geneva Helen (Morgan) Martin. She attended school at Strayhorn and Hermleigh and later married Carl Pieper. They lived in Odessa for 37 years before moving to Colorado City in 1987 and then moved to Clyde in 1998. Mrs. Pieper was a housewife and had owned a fabric store and plant nursery. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Clyde.
Mrs. Pieper is survived her husband, Carl Pieper of Clyde; one daughter, Marsha Pieper Choate of Clyde; one son, Alan Pieper of Irving; and son-in-law Larry Choate of Hodges.
She was preceded in death by her parents and nine brothers and sisters.
