Lone Star Ag Credit to host Chamber Coffee

This month the Sweetwater Chamber of Commerce coffee event will be hosted by Lone Star Ag Credit, located at 400 East Third Street in Sweetwater. The event will begin at 10 a.m.

The Sweetwater Chamber of Commerce will hold its monthly Chamber Coffee at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 3, at Lone Star Ag Credit, located at 400 E. 3rd Street in Sweetwater.
Lone Star Ag Credit is a cooperative owned by its customers and borrowers and is operated by Lone Star ACA in Fort Worth, TX. Founded in 1917 as part of the nationwide Farm Credit System, the company operates 10 offices in 33 counties, covering the north-central, northwest and northeast regions of Texas. The office in Sweetwater is managed by Tim Weldon.
Lone Star Ag Credit provides loans for real estate purchases, farm and ranch operating expenses, purchasing equipment and buying, refinancing or building a country home, purchasing recreational property and financing for agriculture.
The customer-owned cooperative has paid out over $40 million in patronage dividends to their stockholders over the past 10 years. This year alone, Lone Star ACA will pay out $7 million in dividends to its stockholders, resulting in nearly a 1% reduction in interest rate.
Lone Star Ag Credit recognizes young, beginning, small farmers and ranchers as the future of Texas' agriculture industry and are committed to financing this generation of producers to the full extent of their credit worthiness. They support the industry by giving four $2500 scholarships annually to high school seniors, county stock shows, FFA, 4-H, State Fair of Texas, Ft. Worth Livestock Show, TCU Ranch Management, TSCRA, Park Cities and Cross Timbers quail groups, Dallas Safari Club, County Extension, Texas Farm Bureau, Texas Trophy Hunters Association, Ducks Unlimited and much more.
