The Sweetwater Chamber of Commerce hosted a 50th anniversary celebration on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012, at the Sweetwater Country Club for Ludlum Measurements. Many members of the community attended the reception and several presentations were made to founder Don Ludlum.

The street of the new 80-acre industrial park being built by Sweetwater Enterprise for Economic Development (SEED) will be named after the Ludlum's and Ludlum Measurements, Sweetwater's largest employer.
During the gathering, Mick Truitt presented a lead brick, spray painted gold, to Don Ludlum from a business associate. Also, Don Ludlum and son Larry Ludlum were presented a certificate by Sweetwater Chamber of Commerce president Rodney Foster on behalf of the Chamber.
The Sweetwater Municipal Band performed at the celebration and opened the evening with “Happy Birthday.”
