Man wanted for theft of property

November 5, 2012

Daniel Ray Jones

On Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, the keen observation of two Nolan County citizens assisted the Nolan County Sheriff's Office in solving a theft that occurred in the 4100 block of CR 117 in Nolan County.
A residence located in the 4100 block of CR 117, and owned by Jonathan Bergstrom, had the residential heat pump stolen at that time. A citizen, who was passing by this location, saw an older model pick-up parked behind the residence. This person, a short time later, saw this same pick-up being driven east on CR 117, with an "air conditioner" in the back of it. A second concerned citizen was later able to verify this information. Jonathan Bergstrom was then notified, by one of the individuals, and he in turn contacted the Nolan County Sheriff's Office and advised them of the incident.
After the subsequent investigation by Nolan County Sheriff's Office Patrol Sgt. Brock Carter and Criminal Investigator Angie Collier, a warrant was issued for 22-year-old Daniel Ray Jones of Sweetwater for the theft of the heat pump. The warrant for Jones was issued for Theft of Property over $1,500 but under $20,000.
As of Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, Daniel Ray Jones had not been arrested.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 235-TIPS (8477).
