Many fall activities this week

Many Halloween and fall events will be happening this week beginning on Tuesday. The following is a list of local events.

Tuesday, Oct. 29
Trunk or Treat
Avondale Baptist and Hoyt House will be having their second annual Trunk or Treat on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at 1405 Hoyt Street and 1700 Hoyt Street. This will be an opportunity for a safe and fun time for the whole family. Have your kids dress up in their favorite costumes and kids will be able to Trunk or Treat and receive candy, prizes, cotton candy, snow cones and popcorn on the Avondale Baptist parking lot. Games and treats will be available at the Hoyt House.

Wednesday. Oct. 30
Trinity Baptist Trunk or Treat
Trinity Baptist Church, located on the corner of Hailey and Santa Fe, will host a Trunk-or-Treat from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The community is invited for a fun and safe evening of trick or treating. Please park in the west parking lot as no cars will be allowed through the east (Hailey) lot once the event has begun.

Thursday, Oct. 31
RPMH Trunk or Treat
Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital is having a Trunk or Treat on Thursday from 5:45-6:45 p.m. in the administration parking lot located at the back of the hospital. Vehicles will be decorated and the RPMH staff will be handing out lots of candy.

FUMC Trunk or Treat
First United Methodist Church will host a Trunk or Treat and Halloween Carnival from 5:30-7 p.m. on Thursday in the church's west parking lot and fellowship hall.

Treatsville
Broadway Baptist Church, located at 710 E. Third, will be having “Treatsville” on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the Family Center. There will be a Trunk or Treat in the parking lot and games inside the building. Everyone is invited to join in on the family fun; call 325-235-2730 for more information.

LSBC Trunk-or-Treat
Lamar Street Baptist Church will be hosting Trunk-or-Treat from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday in the church parking lot. Feel free to bring the kids and meet the church family and enjoy some treats.

Halloween at Sweetwater Healthcare
Sweetwater Healthcare will be handing out candy to children in the front lobby from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday.

Halloween at Nolan Nursing
Nolan Nursing and Rehab will be sponsoring a Trunk or Treat on Thursday from 6:30-8 p.m. in the front parking lot at 705 N.E. Georgia. All are welcome.

Halloween Extravaganza
The 30th Annual Halloween Extravaganza will be sponsored by Texas State Technical College from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday in the Student Center at the TSTC Sweetwater campus. This is a safe, family-oriented event open to everyone in the Sweetwater and Nolan County area. Student organizations from the TSTC campus, as well as community organizations, church groups and youth groups will be providing games for the evening. Admission is free to the event. There are minimal charges for the haunted house and carnival games. Candy and prizes will be provided by TSTC. Booth space is also still available. Saturday, Nov. 2
Faith Harvest Church Fall Festival
Faith Harvest Church, located at 408 Alamo Street, will be having their annual Fall Festival on Saturday from 5-8 p.m. There will be bounce castles, cake walks, games, prizes and food! Everything is free and those attending are asked to bring a canned good or something to donate to the church’s food pantry. They will be serving hamburgers, hot dogs, nachos, frito pie, sausage on a stick and more. The food will be served until they run out.
