Funeral services for Margaret G. Landers, 87, of Sweetwater, will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, at McCoy Chapel of Memories, with Rev. Chris Rodriquez officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
A visitation will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 13, 2010, at McCoy Funeral Home.
Landers died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010, at Sweetwater Healthcare Center.
She was born June 20, 1923, in Celeste, Texas. She married Elvin Nix in 1942 in Celeste, Tx and P.K. “Buster” Lander July 29, 1991, in Sweetwater. Margaret had lived in Sweetwater since 1946, and was a bookkeeper, retiring from the Texas Bank. She was a member of Highland Heights United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, P.K. “Buster” Landers of Sweetwater; son, Noel Nix of Lewisville; step daughters, Julie Hudman and husband Curtis of Post and Gwen Marrier of Quannah; step grandchildren, Chad Marrier and Chase Marrier and wife Melissa, Richard Hudman and wife Lichele, Jana Mundine and husband John and Lori Marsh and husband Chad; step great-grandchildren, Kohen and Kyna Hudman and Dillon Marrier; and sister, Mozell Clinton of Houston.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Elvin Nix on Feb. 12, 1983; and five sisters, Nannie, Clarence, Pearl, Johnnie and Allene.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Bonner, Mickey Price, Rusty Allen, Richard Hudman, John Mudine and Doug Taylor.
