Memorial services for Martha Jean Elliott, 54, of Sweetwater, will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 22, at McCoy Chapel of Memories with Rev. Phillip Thomas officiating. Final disposition will be cremation under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Elliot died Saturday, Jan. 19, at her home in Sweetwater.
She was born Aug. 2, 1958 in Big Spring. Martha was a homemaker and had been living in Sweetwater since 2002, before moving from Midland, Texas where she lived for several years.
Survivors include her daughter, Sabrina Elliott and fiancé Thomas Carr of Sweetwater; son, Billy Jack Templeton and wife Shelia of Owasso, Oklahoma; father, James Hogue, Sr. of Sweetwater; brother, Jimmy Hogue, Jr. and wife Abby of Sweetwater; sisters, Brenda Schulyler of San Angelo and Debra Landry and husband Reese of San Angelo; step brother, John Jolly of San Angelo; step sister, Laura Jolly of Kansas; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sammie Hogue, on Aug. 23, 1994; and her step mother, Diane Hogue, on Feb. 13, 2012.
