GORDONVILLE — A memorial service for Mary Alyne Burrow will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011 at the Dixie Frontier Baptist Church in Whitesboro with Rev. Carl Douglas officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro.
Mrs. Burrow passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011, at her home in Gordonville.
Mary Alyne was born on April 15, 1932 in Stephenville, Texas to Charles Rufus and Mary Lucille (Conatser) Alexander. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Dixie Frontier Baptist Church of Whitesboro. Mary worked as a beauty operator (owned Mary’s Beauty Shop in Sweetwater for years), enjoyed fishing and dancing. She also enjoyed the company of her little dog, Lila.
Survivors include a daughter, Maryln Miller of Irving; a son, David Clark of Gordonville and daughter, Linda Kite of Sweetwater; 11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary Alexander; sons, Rufus Lee Clark and Harlen Gene Clark; two brothers; and one sister.
