Crane Service, Inc. will be lifting a huge chiller on the Angelo State University (ASU) campus starting on Monday, Aug. 15, 2011.
The company, which has an extension office in Sweetwater, is hoisting a 15,500 pound A/C Chiller above the San Angelo campus. The unit will be placed nearly a football field away from the crane.
The 550-ton crane performing the job is the newly-purchased GMK 7550, which made its way to the company's central location in Albuquerque, New Mexico in June of this year as reported by the Sweetwater Reporter. It will provide much needed held to keep the ASU facility up and running.
Set-up of the crane will take place Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 16. The lift will be taking place late Tuesday or Wednesday, Aug. 17, depending on external factors.
