McGonegal welcomed to Sweetwater Fire Department

Adam McGonegal, paramedic, was hired by the Sweetwater Fire Department at the end of May. Originally from Castle Rock, Colorado, McGonegal was a paramedic there for four and a half years before moving to Texas.
McGonegal, his wife, Sarah, and their two children, Ella and Mya, currently live in Sweetwater. "My wife and I lived in Abilene in the early 2000s and we really enjoyed the people and the area," McGonegal said. "We want our kids to grow up around good people."
McGonegal graduated from Texas State Technical College in Abilene in 2006. "Ever since I was little, I've wanted to be a paramedic," said McGonegal when asked why he chose this profession.
"He's a welcome addition to the fire department," said Sweetwater Fire Chief Grant Madden.
