Funeral services for Michelle Elaine Brown, 50, of Rotan and formerly of Sweetwater, will be held on Friday, August 2, 2013 at 4th and Elm Church of Christ with Rev. Robert Carey officiating. Interment will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater.
A wake will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2013, at 7 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home.
Brown died Friday, July 26, 2013 in Rotan.
She was born on December 3, 1962 in Sweetwater. She was married in Sweetwater.
She attended Mount Rose Baptist Church. She played baseball, gymnastics, ran track, loved cooking and dancing and pool.
Survivors include her husband, Willie Brown Jr. of Rotan; sons, Clarence Tyrone Amos and wife Angela of Sweetwater, Willie Amos and wife Natalie of Ft. Worth, Willie Brown III of Abilene and Cedrick Brown and Peggy Elliot of Abilene; daughter, Ebony Brown of Abilene; 19 grandchildren; sisters, Marjorie Miller of Alexandria, VA, Barbara Amos of Sweetwater, Tammy Amos of Irving, Leslie Miles of Grand Prairie, Beverly Williams of Ft. Worth, Lynn Scott of Houston and Carolyn Williams of Dallas; brothers, Brodrick Amos of Garland, Billy Ray Amos of Dallas, Kavin Amos of Irving and twin brother Michael Amos of Sweetwater.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray Lester and Margaret Amos.
Pallbearers will be Junior Hunt, Quincy Garrett, Robert Carey Jr., Jason Bluford, Jody Hernandez, and George "Twin" Nickerson, Jr.
