This summer, the Sweetwater campus of TSTC (Texas State Technical College) West Texas, located at 300 Homer K. Taylor Drive, is offering Microsoft Office Short Courses. All of the courses will be offered in the Pevehouse Building in Room 210.
"Whether you currently work in an office environment that just upgraded to Microsoft Office 2010, or just want to learn the latest features of this software, the right kind of training is essential," said course organizers. "At TSTC West Texas, we offer a variety of courses on the latest version of this popular software package."
The following courses available this summer are Word (basic or intermediate/advanced), Excel (basic or intermediate/advanced), PowerPoint (basic or advanced) and Publisher (basic or advanced). Each course will cost $120.
On Friday, July 12, a Microsoft Powerpoint Advanced 2010 course, which is a day-long, six-hour class, will take place throughout the day. This course builds on the skills and concepts taught in PowerPoint 2010: Basic.
Students will customize PowerPoint by modifying the Ribbon and changing application settings. They will also apply themes, templates, and will work with SmartArt graphics and tables.
Participants will add multimedia content and interactive elements to slides, and will learn about distribution options including PDF, HTML, and online broadcasts. Finally, students will integrate PowerPoint with Word and Excel.
Interested participants can register by calling Cindy Brunett at (325) 672-9456 or by visiting http://www.tstc.edu/westtexasworkforcedevelopment/apply.
