Mike Fernandez Joins Texas National Bank

Texas National Bank welcomes Mike Fernandez as Vice President

The Texas National Bank Board of Directors recently elected Mike Fernandez as Vice President. The election was announced today by Bill Johnson, President and CEO. Fernandez is expected to be involved in the bank’s financial operations as well as lending according to Johnson. Mike comes to Sweetwater from San Antonio where he served as Bank Officer / Credit Analyst for Plains Capital Bank.
Fernandez, a native of Beaumont, Texas, received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Louisiana State University in 2005, and a Masters of Business Administration from Texas A&M, San Antonio in 2012. Mike and his wife, Dr. Jenny Johnson-Fernandez, recently moved to Sweetwater from San Antonio.
Of Mike’s election to the bank, Johnson said, “We are very happy that Mike has chosen to join our bank. His character, professionalism, well-rounded experience, and energy will be a great asset to our bank and the community. I think our customers will really like him.”
Texas National Bank is Sweetwater’s locally owned and managed community bank with total assets of $97,791,768 as of June 30, 2012.
