Mobley, Miller are FCA coaches

Sweetwater’s Shane Mob-ley and Liz Miller have been chosen to serve as assistant coaches for Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) all-star games that will be held in Abilene on June 8.
Mobley, Sweetwater High School’s head football coach and athletic director, will be an assistant for the North team in the football game at Shotwell Stadium.
Miller, who is head volleyball coach at SHS, will be an assistant for the North team in the volleyball game at Abilene Christian Univer-sity’s Moody Coliseum that is one of two new events being added this year, along with a boys basketball all-star game slated for June 6 in Brownwood.
The FCA Big Country Chevy Dealers All-Star Festival plans to add girls softball and boys baseball all-star games in San Angelo starting in June of 2014.
Bob Cervetto of Dublin will serve as head coach for the North all-star football team, with Todd Moebes of Abilene Cooper coaching the South. DiDi Pierce of Abilene High will be the head coach for the North volleyball team and Nora Campbell of Abilene Cooper will coach the South.
The players and cheerleaders for the games will be announced at an induc-tion ceremony on April 1.

Softball signups to begin Feb. 4
Softball signups for girls between the ages of 5-14 begin Monday, Feb. 4 from 6-8 p.m. at the Fourth and Elm Church of Christ warehouse. Other signups will be held on Friday, Feb. 15; Tuesday, Feb. 19; and on Thursday, Feb. 21. Persons should bring a copy of their child’s birth certificate.
