Mr. Jeff Perez named New Sweetwater High School Principal

Superintendent Dr. George McFarland named Mr. Jeff Perez as the new High School Principal for Sweetwater ISD at a specially called board meeting held on Monday, April 23rd at the Sweetwater ISD Board Room.
Mr. Perez holds a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies in Secondary Education from Lubbock Christian University and a Masters of Education in Educational Administration from LCU. He currently serves as the District Academic Coordinator for Brownfield Independent School District.
Perez has served as a high school teacher of social studies, assistant high school principal, and high school principal prior to his current position. In addition to his certification in composite social studies, he has his Principal certification as well as his Superintendent certification.
A native of Brownfield, TX, Perez brings with him to Sweetwater his wife Yvette, his daughter Ellianna (age 13), son Daniel (age 9), and son Isaac (age 8). Mr. Perez also has an older son, Tyler (age 22), who is also an LCU graduate and lives and works in Lubbock.
“Mr. Perez is a student-centered educator who knows first-hand the value of what a good education can do for an individual,” Dr. McFarland said.
