MSGT Ernie H. Kinney

MSGT Ernie H. Kinney, U. S. Air Force (ret.) was reunited with his wife of 57 years, Bernice Norris on Feb. 27, 2012, and are both dancing with the angels in heaven. He was born on June 13, 1928 in Bayard, NE to Jeff Everett and Iva Pearl Kinney. He graduated Valedictorian of Minatare High School in Nebraska. He retired from the U. S. Air Force in 1970 after serving 23 distinguished years personally assisting several Generals and also retired from the San Antonio Housing Authority in 1999.
Mr. Kinney leaves behind his loving children, Kendall Keith Kinney and wife Glenda of Sweetwater, TX, Brian Kent Kinney of San Antonio, TX and Ernest Herbert Kinney and wife Hope of Bakersfield, CA; grandchildren, twins Jennie Luvera Kinney and Robin Elaine Smith; step grandchildren, Jacqueline Noyes, Amanda Daoud and Jocelyn Daoud; and great-grandson, Paiton Smith.
Visitation will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with the funeral service to be at 3 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Condolences may be offered at www.sunsetfuneralhomesa.com.
