Music festival continues

The Sweetwater Music Festival highlighted Christian music on Wednesday night, with one venue being held at the First Baptist Church. Featured in the evening were the FBC KidX Children's Choir, led by director Jenny Doggett. Also performing were the Greater Zion Choir directed by Doris Jackson. The evening concluded with the FBC men's quartet "Papa Gene and Da Boys" which included Gene Elston, Glen Bedgood, Jonathan Jones and Ted Sands (shown). Performances were also held at the Texas Theatre by the John Alden Band, Emmanuel Fellowship Praise Team and Burgundy Road and at the South Steps of the Courthouse were performances by Cole Rhoades and Trinity Baptist, “Consumed”. The festival will continue on Thursday, with a 6 p.m. performance by Laney Wallace and the Sweetwater Municipal Band at the WASP Museum; and from 6-9 p.m. Singer/Songwriters on The Patio.
