NCF awards 30 scholarships

Area graduating students earn Nolan County Foundation scholarships

Thirty Nolan County high school and home schooled spring graduates were honored by the Nolan County Foundation with $1,000 scholarships on Wednesday, May 16, 2012.
Nolan County Foundation (NCF) president, Jerry Riggs addressed the students and their parents at a reception at the Sweetwater Country Club.  NCF has awarded a total of 163 scholarships with proceeds from an annual golf scramble held each spring. 
This year’s recipients were from:
--Blackwell High School — Kelsey Holland (Angelo State University) and Brittany Frizzell (TSTC West Texas);
--Highland High School — Kara Hughey (South Plains College), Haley Hill (Baylor University), Jessica McCain (Angelo State University) and Tuti Soedarsono (University of Houston)
--Roscoe High School — Jacinda Morales (University of Texas-Austin), Devon Freeman (Tarleton State University), John Hermosillo (University of Texas of the Permian Basin), Corey Hatcher (Lubbock Christian University), Natalie Anthony (Abilene Christian University), Sara Kingston (Tarleton State University), Lynsi Moses (Midwestern State University), Eric Padillo (TSTC West Texas), Isabel Aguayo (University of Houston), Hannah Box (University of North Texas) and Katie McIntyre (Hardin-Simmons University)
--Sweetwater High School — Alicia Finn (Hardin-Simmons University), Heidi Taylor (Midland College), Sam Nemir (Hardin-Simmons University), Kinsey Browning (Hardin-Simmons University), Yates Cypert (Angelo State University), Spencer Young (University of Texas-Austin), Belinda Hefner (Angelo State University), Adrian Lopez (Texas Methodist University), Shelby Ezzell (Texas Tech University), Taylor Jones (Texas A&M University), James Hardin (Texas Tech University) and Molly Fincher (Hardin-Simmons University)
