NCF sets $33K goal for scholarship golf classic

Members of the Nolan County Foundation Board announce their annual Golf Classic for Scholarships for Nolan County high school graduates has set a goal of raising $33,000 from its April 20, 2013 golf scramble. This event is scheduled for a 9 a.m. tee time at the Sweetwater Country Club.
In reaching this goal, the NCF will have awarded 200 scholarships of $1,000 each for Nolan County high school graduates to start their college careers at any Texas college or university. This year's golf scramble will be the ninth consecutive year for this worthwhile event.
Members of the NCF Board will be contacting businesses and individuals to support the tournament. Levels of sponsorship included: Named Event Sponsor — $5,000, Business Level Sponsor — $1,000, Green Sponsor — $250, Cart Sponsor — $150, and Individual Player — $50. Players will be provided refreshments at registration, with a brown bag lunch.
Scholarships have been awarded to graduates of Blackwell High School, Highland High School, Roscoe High School, Sweetwater High School and home schooled graduates. Counselors currently have applications that must be submitted by May 1, 2013. Additional applications may be obtained from the NCF office located at 201 Oak, Suite 201, or by calling Homer Taylor, President/Executive Director, at 236-6680.
