Nicholas Consulting Group, Inc. (NCG) opened an office in Sweetwater in the Business building at Texas State Technical College this week. An open house took place to welcome the company.
Headquartered in Midland, NCG is a multiple disciplined engineering company that serves industrial clients primarily in the oil and gas industries. Their focus is on surface facilities. Through a broad base of engineering talent and experience NCG provides a full range of services from production facilities through refining processes. As a complement to the engineering services NCG also provides industry specific training to clients. NCG provides services in three major categories: Front End Engineering Design (FEED), Detailed Engineering and Turnkey Support. NCG serves both domestic and international clients.
"In the Midland/Odessa area, there is much competition for employees. We have hired many TSTC graduates, so having an office in Sweetwater is a good match for the company and TSTC," said Mark H. Nicholas, President of NCG. "We will be able to work with the college to teach students how to use the software used by our company. It will give students experience in real world projects and will give practical experience even to those students who are not hired by our company."
