Nemir, L’baugh are 10-11 at state

Sweetwater’s Sam Nemir & Ryan Linebaugh finish in 10th and 11th place, respectively, at the Texas High School Powerlifting Association Division II

Sweetwater’s Sam Nemir and Ryan Linebaugh finished in 10th and 11th place, respectively, among Class 3A lifters in the 165-pound weight class at the Texas High School Powerlifting Association Division II meet that was held on Saturday in Abilene.
Nemir lifted a total of 1,130 pounds including a 430-pound squat, a personal-best 265-pound bench press and a 435-pound deadlift while Linebaugh had a 400-pound squat, a personal-best 240-pound bench press and a 440-pound deadlift. Nemir entered the meet ranked 13th and Linebaugh was ranked 14th in the state prior to Saturday. They were each making their first state appearance. “Both guys did a great job and represented Sweetwater very well,” said Sweetwater boys powerlifting coach Clint Easley.
