The West Texas Innovation Network is sponsoring a â€śFast TracÂ® New Ventureâ„˘ Course beginning on July 11 through August 3, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 8:30-11:30 a.m. The course, designed to help a new business or launch a new business successfully, will be held at the TTU Small Business Development Center Abilene, 500 Chestnut Street, Suite 601 in Abilene.
This 30-hour course will provide guidance and support in a group oriented environment, designed to turn your idea into a business. A few topics of the course overview include, development of the essential framework for starting a business, assistance with setting realistic financial goals and managing, along with identifying potential sources of funding. Seasoned entrepreneurs, guest speakers and business owners will share unique experiences and perspectives on starting a new business. Scholarships are available for qualified individuals from Workforce Solutions of West Central Texas.
The WEST TEXAS INNOVATION NETWORK (WTIN) provides access to training opportunities for entrepreneurs aspiring to start their own businesses.Â Mike Mikeworth, Project Manager states â€śWe work with a variety of community partners, small business owners and other entrepreneurship interests in the Big Country in order toÂ make availableÂ quality training, consulting and eventsÂ to local entrepreneurs. Funding for the West Texas Innovation Network was provided through a grant from the Texas Workforce Commission.
