Nine earn All-BC honors

• Allen, Baucom top 1A girls list again

Eight athletes from Nolan County, along with Highland coach Shea Baucom, today received Class 1A, Division II All-Big Country basketball recognition from the Abilene Reporter-News.
The top All-Big Country honors went to Highland’ senior post Sierra Allen, who was selected the Class 1A, Division II All-Big Country girls MVP, and Baucom, who is the All-Big Country Coach of the Year. Baucom also won the honor in 2013 from the Reporter-News.
Receiving All-Big Country girls honorable mention were Hannah Allen, Madi-son Moseley and Beth Rich-burg of Highland and Eva Aguayo of Roscoe.
Sierra Allen was district MVP and also made the All-Big Country team in 2013. She will play for Abilene Christian University next year after helping Highland advance to the state semifinals in Class 1A, Division II each of the last two years.
Earning boys honors were Matt Lowry of Blackwell, who was named to the All-Big Country second team. Two players earned honorable mention: Roscoe’s Jesus Leanos and High-land’s Ethan Wilson.
