No serious injuries in accidents

Sweetwater Emergency Services responded to a wreck on Thursday evening, Feb. 9, 2012, north of Roscoe. A student fell asleep and rolled into the culvert.

Sweetwater Emergency Services responded to a wreck on Thursday evening, Feb. 9, 2012, north of Roscoe. A student fell asleep and rolled into the culvert.
"She was banged up but not seriously injured," said Sweetwater Emergency Services Director Grant Madden. "We did not transport her to the hospital," he added.
On Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, Sweetwater firefighters and emergency personnel responded to a truck fire west bound on Interstate 20 when an electrical problem behind the cab of the truck caused the entire cab of the 18-wheeler to be burned. The trailer was carrying oil field equipment and was not burned.
The driver of the truck did not sustain any injuries, according to Sweetwater Emergency Services Manager Grant Madden.
