A private family memorial service will be held later this week for Norma Faye Grantham, 68, of Sweetwater, with family members officiating. Interment will follow at Roscoe Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Grantham died Monday, April 9, 2012, at her home.
She was born Feb. 15, 1944, in Sweetwater, Texas. She married Gerald Wayne Grantham on April 9, 1976, in Big Spring, Texas. Nora lived in Roscoe most of her life until moving to Sweetwater in 2001. She was a beautician and had owned and operated Nora's Beauty Shop in Roscoe. She had been a manager for a game room in Abilene and had worked for Southwest Canvas in Sweetwater. She also worked for a railroad transportation company as a driver. She had been co-owner of Mustang Oil Change in Sweetwater.
Survivors include her daughter, Donna Jo Sims of Sterling, Colorado; son, Greg Sims of Eules, Texas; brother, Bob Berry of Roscoe; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; and nieces, Sheila Devlin of Jasper, Texas and Sherry Henson of Kirbyville, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Wayne Grantham, on Oct. 22, 1985; her parents, George and Jessie McBride Berry; and three aunts.
