ROTAN - Odelia "Odie" Garcia, 52, passed away Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at an Abilene Hospital.  Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at the Foursquare Church with burial in Belvieu Cemetery under the direction of Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home. Rosary will be at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be made at weathersbeerayfh.com
Odie was born March 3, 1960, to Francisco and Maria Garcia in Rotan. She married Randy Helms in 1980 at Rotan. She graduated from Texas State Technical College and was an LVN at West Texas Center for MHMR. She was a lifelong resident of Fisher County. Odie was raised Catholic but later attended the Foursquare Church. She loved music. 
Odie was preceded in death by her parents and a former husband (Randy Helms).
She is survived by one son, Robert Helms of San Marcos; one daughter and son-in law, Renee and Julian Garcia of Sweetwater; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Richard Garcia, Reynaldo and Reina Garcia, Armando and Mollie Garcia and Erasmo and Deana Garcia; five sisters and four brothers-in-law, Esther and Tony Baldivia, Elida and Gil Almanza, Virginia Garcia, Guadalupe and Anselno Lopez and Janie and Rick Martinez; three grandchildren, Avery Garcia, Briana Garcia and Michael Garcia;  numerous nieces and nephews; and her loving dog, Mojo.
