Ordway is nominated Teacher of Week at SHS

The Sweetwater High School Teacher of the Week for the week of November 6, 2017 is Paula Ordway.
Mrs. Ordway is a high school department head who leads a team of teachers to provide academic support in all instructional areas. Moreover, she was recognized as the Region 14 Secondary Teacher of the year in 2015 and was one of twenty teachers in Texas to receive this distinction.
Recently, Mrs. Ordway has worked to oversee teacher professional development on campus in the area of academic support for struggling learners and building appropriate and effective relationships with students.
With Paula’s leadership, in October 2017, Sweetwater High School was nominated as a National Showcase Schools Finalists for the second year.
She is leading the SHS submission towards being recognized as a National Showcase School by the Flippen Group for the faculty and staff’s effort, dedication, and hard work to become a place where trust, respect, and caring relationships flourish, and academic achievement skyrockets.
