Sweetwater — Paul McDonald, 55, died Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at his home in Sweetwater.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 7, at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene, 7457 W. Lake Road, with Reverend Chris Fobbs officiating, directed by Starbuck Funeral Home of Merkel.
Paul was born Nov. 17, 1957, in Sweetwater to Morris Lee and Mary Jane (Lauw) McDonald. He was raised in Sweetwater and attended Faith Lutheran Church as a child. Paul was a U. S. army veteran. He was a welder who enjoyed making metal yard art.
Survivors include his children, Skeeter McDonald of Sweetwater, Niffy McDonald and husband John Parker of Marble Falls, Jill Asbill and husband Brent of Red Oak, Jack McDonald and wife Sheila of Granbury, Jesse McDonald of Sweetwater and Jessica McDonald of San Angelo; two sisters, Jan Roebuck and husband Robert Patak of Dallas and Jody Fletcher and husband Gary of Austin; grandchildren, Brianna McDonald, Caleb and Brayden Asbill, Jordan and Austin McDonald, Natalee Hernandez and Jace McDonald; and special caretaker, Rhonda Hobbs of Sweetwater.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
