Holy Mass of Christian Burial for Pedro Muñoz, Jr., 51, of Sweetwater, will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Father Michael Rodriguez officiating. Interment will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011, at McCoy Chapel of Memories, read by Pauline Gauna and Connie Palacios.
Muñoz died Monday, Aug. 1, 2011, at his residence.
Muñoz was born Jan. 16, 1960, in San Angelo. He married Elisa Martinez on Jan. 8, 1992, in Sweetwater. Pedro attended Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. He lived in Sweetwater since 1986. He was a landscaper and irrigation installation specialist.
Survivors include his wife, Elisa Muñoz of Sweetwater; three sons, Adam Jose Muñoz of Sweetwater, Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Treviño of Apex, N.C. and Paul E. Treviño of Sweetwater; two daughters, April Ann Muñoz of San Angelo and Francis N. Muñoz of San Angelo; three brothers, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Muñoz, Sr. of Sweetwater, Joe Muñoz of Metairie, La. and Adam E. Muñoz of Colorado City; two sisters, Guadalupe Renovato of Austin and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Huibers of Metairie, La.; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Pedro Muñoz, Sr.; his mother, Celestina Muñoz; and his sister, Maria Christina Olveda.
Pallbearers will be Arturo Arzater, Charlie Martinez, Val Velasquez, Oscar Hernandez, Henry Ortega and Neal Montemayor.
