A graveside service for Peggy Lois Runyard, 87, of Lake Sweetwater, will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011, at Garden of Memories Cemetery with Mark White officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Runyard died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011, at The Hoyt House in Sweetwater.
She was born Jan. 1, 1924, in Sylvester, Texas. She married Gerald D. "Jerry" Runyard on Nov. 8, 1947, in Roswell, N.M. She was a Baptist. She had lived in Sweetwater since 1970, coming from Washington, D.C. She was a homemaker during her married life while moving around over 28 years with her husband during his military career in the Air Force.
Survivors include her husband, Gerald D. "Jerry" Runyard of Lake Sweetwater; daughter, Kaye White and husband Lendon of Lake Sweetwater; son, Steven Runyard of Green Mountain Falls, Colo.; grandson, Lark Lendon White of Lake Sweetwater; granddaughter, Rinda French and husband Jerry of Hitchcock, Texas; and two great-granddaughters, Whitney Burnett of Austin and Chelsea Burnett of Norfolk, Va.
