Pleas entered in District Court
Three people recently entered guilty pleas during 32nd Judicial District Court proceedings.Jimmy Robert Pardue pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance, namely methamphetamine, the lesser included offense of engaging in organized criminal activity, a first degree felony. The charge stems from a Jan. 6, 2012 raid in which several were arrested and the Sweetwater Police Department found several substances and stolen items. Pardue was sentenced to five years of community supervision. He was also ordered to pay a $3,000 fine, $418 in court costs and $140 in restitution to the Texas Department of Public Safety Crime Laboratory in Abilene. Pardue will also have to serve 360 hours of community service.Matthew Shane Ausborn pleaded guilty to theft over $1,500, a state jail felony. For his plea, Ausborn received 15 months confinement in the State Jail Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and received 158 days credit towards his sentence for time already served in jail. He was also ordered to pay a $2,000 fine and $343 in court costs.Anthony Dylan Bentley pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance, namely cocaine, a state jail felony. Bentley was sentenced to four years of community supervision and will have to serve 120 hours of community service. He was also ordered to pay a $1,000 fine, $423 in court costs and $500 in attorney's fees. He will also have to enter and successfully complete the Substance Abuse Felony Punishment Facility (SAFPF) program through community supervision.
