Roscoe’s football team played its first of two scrimmages on Friday, when it hosted Haskell on Plowboy Field’s new turf which was installed after last season.
The scrimmage was delayed almost an hour due to threatening weather in the area but still drew a good turnout.
Also, Blackwell held its first scrimmage Friday when the Hornets traveled to Hermleigh while both Sweetwater and Highland were scheduled to hold their first scrimmages Saturday.
