As the search for Colorado City teenager Hailey Dunn leads into its second week, the efforts to find the thirteen-year-old remain strong.
On Friday afternoon, officers continued to search in Hailey's neighborhood. However, the search broadened into the small community of Dunn, Texas on Saturday. Various officers traveled to the town to look for evidence and follow up on reported leads. According to Colorado City city manager Pete Kampfer and Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) officer Sparky Dean, the city of Dunn could be one of many satellite areas to be set up in the next few days.
Also being utilized in Hailey's disappearance are digital billboards. Up to 80 signs are broadcasting Hailey's information and are being donated by Lamar Outdoor Advertising, Clear Channel Outdoor and Digital Impact Outdoor.
More agencies have joined the effort, working alongside Colorado City law enforcement. The Snyder Police Department and Scurry County Sheriff's Office, as well as the Garza County Sheriff's Office are working on the case. Even state and national agencies, including the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children are assisting in the efforts.
Hailey, a Colorado City Middle School student, was last seen at 1804 Chestnut Street in Colorado City between 1 and 3 p.m., wearing navy blue sweatpants, a short sleeved light colored T-shirt and pink and white tennis shoes. She has hazel eyes, pierced ears and brown hair with blondish streaks. Hailey stands at 5â1â and weighs 120 pounds.

Sunday afternoon, a news release reported that a witness saw Hailey walking with two girls either on Sunday, Dec. 26, or Monday, Dec. 27. The girls were reportedly walking east on the 200 block of Manuel Street in Colorado City. Monday's plans for the search efforts included an address by Dean and Kampfer to the students of Colorado Middle School. The assembly would address the lead of Hailey spotted with the two girls. They also plan on speaking at the high school. It is the hope of the officials that speaking to the two girls will lead to very important information on Hailey's whereabouts.
