Public outreach information campaign for public transportation for seniors and disabled is Tuesday

The Texas Department of Transportation is hosting a series of public outreach meetings to inform Texans about the availability of cost-effective, efficient passenger transportation services, as well as gather comments from people on what services are needed in the rural communities around Abilene. If you currently use public transit, are thinking about using public transit or would like more information on public transportation services in your community, feel free to attend the meeting.
Staff will be on hand to answer questions and provide information about federal grant programs for the special needs of seniors and individuals with disabilities.
The public in encouraged to attend the following outreach meeting at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at the SNAP building, located at 1703 Elm. For details about meeting times and locations, call Kelly Daniel at 432-498-4768.
