Quilt made to benefit Roscoe Robotics program

February 4, 2014

The above quilt was made by Roscoe Collegiate High School students and the Roscoe Sewing Sisters to benefit the FIRST Robotics program.

Mr. Boren's Geometry class at Roscoe Collegiate High School has made a quilt to help raise money for the Robotics Program. By purchasing a raffle ticket for this king-sized quilt you are supporting the Roscoe Collegiate High School FIRST Robotics program.
The students learned valuable geometry lessons as each 18X18 quilt square contains 125 hand cut pieces, all cut and prepared by the students. Local ladies of the "Roscoe Sewing Sisters" then completed the sewing and quilting for the students.
Tickets may be purchased at the front office of the Roscoe High School building, any Robotics student or at Vickie's Gifts at 211 Main Street in Roscoe. Vickie's Gifts has a small sample of the quilt on display. Tickets are $5 a piece or 5 for $20. The drawing will take place during halftime of the Varsity boys' basketball game on Feb. 7.
