Holy Mass of Christian Burial for Ray T. Reyes, 58, of Sweetwater, will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 18, 2011, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Father Michael Rodriguez officiating.
A Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 17, 2011, at McCoy Chapel of Memories, recited by Deacon Bill Butler.
Reyes died Thursday, July 14, 2011, at his home.
He was born May 8, 1953, in Sweetwater. He married Yolanda Morales on Jan. 4, 1975, in Sweetwater. Ray was a graduate of Sweetwater High School and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. He was a lifelong resident of Sweetwater. He attended Texas Tech University and was a member of the Sweetwater Rifle and Pistol Club and the NRA. Ray was a truck driver for Wal-Mart.
Survivors include his wife, Yolanda Reyes of Sweetwater; sons, Gabriel Reyes and wife Monica of Sweetwater, Roman Reyes and wife Nickie of San Angelo and Richard Reyes and wife Lindsay of Abilene; his father, Frank Reyes of Sweetwater; sister, Cynthia Jones and husband Jerry of Duncanville, Texas; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Julian Montoya, Brandon Covington, George Ortiz, Jose Rodriguez, David King and Brandon Phillips.
Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Torres, Rodney Jacques and Tony Palma.
