The West Texas Art Guild is having its annual Regional Art Show on Saturday, Nov. 23, at the Civic Center in Colorado City.
Artwork can be brought and entered into the show from 8-10 a.m. Entry fee per piece is $10 for members and $15 for non-members.
Ribbons and prize money will be awarded by the judge, Dianna Lee Jones from San Angelo. Categories include: oil / acrylics, watercolor, dry media (pastel, pencil, etc.), photography, and 3-D (jewelry, sculpture, etc.).
The contest is open to adults 18 years and older in the West Texas area. Requirements are that the original artwork must have been created in the last five years and not previously entered in the WTAG Regional Art Show. All accepted styles, paintings and photography must be ready to hang (no saw tooth hangers).
Artwork must not exceed 48" in width. WTAG also reserves the right to refuse any entry.
Wet paintings, kits, obvious nudes or workshop art will not be accepted.
The public may view the art from 1-4 p.m. Awards will then be presented at 4 p.m., and artists will pick up their art at that time.
